We used to play in the music rooms, practice together during lunch hours, and we shared everything childish and adolescent; trials and errors, life and death, past and future, trust and lies, hopes and fear, and love and hatred all throughout our teenage years and college years. We rooted for our goals on the way, patting on each others’ shoulders as we continued our separate journeys. She chose her musical path as an artist and I chose to be a scholar. But luckily the shared memories are still there. It’s all because she loved me dearly and she always remembered me. She loved me as my Besty, even more than I could love her back. If I just close my eyes, I can still go back to the days spent with my Besty. Just as if it were only yesterday.

Jiyoung Park Violin Recital ‘Falling in Love’
Photo Design by © Youngeum Arts Management

So many times have I wondered if things would ever be the same living in this society - a society that has been most characterized by escalation and acceleration up until the new millennium following the WWII. The disaster has left this society with a certain sense of calmness, or desire to remain calm in the aftermath of the craze. And sakuras have come in bloom as though they would let us know spring is coming come what may.

Rikugien, Tokyo, Japan

I obtained this precious one on sale at a UO store in downtown DC near Georgetown and took it out on an excursion to Revere Beach. It’s superb!!! Contrary to my Princess Diana, it uses a regular 35mm film instead of the pricey 120mm film rolls. I’m lovin’ it!

Photo Design by © LOMOgraphy
